London Wasps sign new scrum half

Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the London Wasps have announced via an official statement that they have reached an agreement with Jack Moates, the scrum half of their fellow Aviva Premiership rivals the London Irish for the player to join the club at the end of the current season.

The Wasps has begun an operation of rejuvenating the side after struggling to cope with the demands of the Aviva Premiership and after the appointment of Dai Young as the Director of Rugby of the club, The Wasps has been on a signing spree of some of the best young talents from home and abroad as well as some experienced heads to help the youngsters settle into the game.

The 20 year old has had a previous loan spell with another London club, The Welsh during the 2011-12 season when The Exiles were playing in the Rugby Football Union Championship, helping them to promotion to the Aviva Premiership. The new London Wasps signing has played 17 matches for The Irish in the current season and has been extremely impressive, keeping in mind he is only 20 years old.

According to Dai Young, he has been extremely impressed by the performances of the young scrum and he is sure that the youngster is a very ambitious player and wants to play and win all the matches. Young went on to add that in order to make up a strong squad, it needs a proper blend of scrum halves and he is confident the youngster will add to the likes of Charlie Davies and Joe Simpson.

According to Moates, he knows there is strong competition for the position in the London Wasps but he is confident that he will be able to play his way into the team and plans of Young.
