WASPS LOSE OUT AGAIN

London Wasps faced yet another defeat in the Aviva Premiership as the Chiefs thrashed the London Wasps 15 to 12 at Adam’s Park.

It was Ignacio Mieres who took five very crucial penalties for the Chiefs that put the Wasps in a tight spot.

The Chiefs kept their defence line intact and safe despite tremendous pressure from the Wasps over long periods of time. The Wasps in response took one less penalty than the Chiefs that made all the difference in this match.

These penalties were taken by Nick Robinson who converted the penalties successfully to keep his team in the game.

WASPS TAKE A BEATING

London Wasps took a huge blow in the Aviva Premiership after losing to their rivals at Kingsholm.

Gloucester was in great shape and form as they took on their rivals London Wasp. They played some exceptional rugby to thrash the Wasps heavily in the much awaited fixture.

This embarrassing loss at the hands of their rivals will come as a big shock to the London Wasps. The loss for the London Wasps saw them drop down to the ninth spot in the league table while Gloucester climbed up to the fifth point.

KOLL SIGNS FOR WASPS

Wasps have brought in further reinforcements for their pack with the signing of Namibian second rower, Heinz Koll until the end of the season.

Koll will link up with his compatriot Tinus Du Plessis, who he starred alongside during the recent World Cup.

Koll impressed for Namibia, starting all four of his counties pool games, scoring a try against Wales which showed off his impressive ball carrying and strength. He broke and ran 40 yards with the ball to score against one of the most impressive sides at the tournament.

HANKS LEAVES WASPS

Wasps director of rugby Tony Hanks has left the club after 21 months in charge by mutual consent.

The Londoners have won only one of their last six games and are currently sixth in the Premiership.

New Zealander Hanks said: “I am naturally disappointed to be leaving the club, and this has been a really tough decision to come to.”

Head coach Shaun Edwards will take charge of the squad for this weekend’s game against Leicester.

Wasps say they will begin searching for a permanent replacement immediately.
